Hunger Games Trailer

Published by admin on November 4th, 2011

Many of you are probably wondering the same thing we are wondering. When will the first Hunger Games Trailer be released. I’ve been searching around and apparently there has been no released date by Lionsgate. I was thinking about it and I think they should release the first trailer at Twilight. The audience to watch The Hunger Games is similar so people would probably go crazy and get so excited. But they are yet to say exactly what date and when they will be releasing The Hunger Games trailer. I can’t wait! I have to know! I think the suspense is killing me and probably you too! Well since we can’t watch the Official Hunger Games trailer then we can watch a fan made one for now.

Jennifer Larence Talks Hunger Games

Jennifer Lawrence seems to be living the good life these days, with an Oscar nomination for Winter’s Bone on her resume and a legion of fan boys in her corner after shedding clothes and putting on blue latex for the role of Mystique in X-Men: First Class. Now, the 21-year-old actress is getting ready to really set the world on fire in The Hunger Games, which might have potential to rival the Twilight saga in terms of world domination.

Lawrence is currently working on her next film, The Silver Linings Playbook, but she found some time in her busy schedule to talk with Vanity Fair about the upcoming adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ dystopian novel, The Hunger Games.

Even before she knew she’d be auditioning for the movie, Lawrence was a Hunger Games fan that had already read the books, and her early connection with the character of Katniss Everdeen gave her the courage to put her foot down with director Gary Ross and tell him how her interpretation of Katniss would be.

“When I auditioned,” Lawrence says, “I told [director] Gary [Ross], ‘I understand if you don’t hire me, but please remember that after Katniss shoots a bow and kills someone, her face cannot be badass.’ So there’s nothing cool about her. It’s not like she looks around the arena and goes, Yeah, I got this. I think she looks around helplessly, and thinks, I made a promise to my sister that I would survive; now I have to kill in order to do so.”

Whether this view is something other Hunger Games fans will relate to is something that will be learned when the movie hits the big screen, but I think Lawrence made a good call with her decision.

Of course, the big question on everyone’s mind is how big will The Hunger Games become? All the studios are looking for the next Twilight since that series is getting ready to wind down and many are saying the adventures of Katniss Everdeen have what it takes to fill the void. However, Lawrence doesn’t want to be too hasty in making such a comparison, saying, “Hunger Games is not Twilight,” and that it would be “really premature to say that it will be the same phenomenon.”

MTV Interviews Woody Harrelson

MTV To Release Hunger Games Interviews

Published by admin on November 3rd, 2011

MTV’s Kara Warner says that while she can’t release her interview with Josh Hutcherson, she can release an interview with Woody Harrelson. You know I love Woody Harrelson and all, but it’s like Lionsgate is being so secretive about the Hunger Games film. I know a lot of people love the Hunger Games, but if they want to peak others interest that don’t know what the Hunger Games is they need to start releasing videos and other promo things so they peak people’s interest. Otherwise people are going to wonder what in the world The Hunger Games are.

How Haymitch Got His Look

Woody Harrelson was given the freedom to create the look for Haymitch. He ended up using the idea of his brother’s hair do Brett Harrelson. Read the interview from NY Mag.

”I saw my brother when I was trying to come up with the best look, and that’s my brother’s hair, you know. I mean, not literally,” he laughed, “but that’s his look. So yeah, I thought, That’s perfect.

I saw Haymitch differently. I think it’s different from what the books create, but here we go again with giving actors freedom. I hated how Twilight gave Robert Pattinson freedom to depict Edward in the first film because he acted like a psycho. I hope this doesn’t go any further into the movie and how he portrays Haymitch from the books.

Thanks to NY Mag.
